Najib must resolve MIC crisis or lose Indian votes .

KLANG: Sacked MIC central working committee member KP Samy plans to seek an appointment with Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to address the crisis plaguing BN component party.“I think the prime minister is the best person to advise party president S Samy Vellu on how to resolve this crisis,” he said.
Samy said it is vital for the BN chairman to step in to settle the matter. “If he does not, I'm afraid the ruling coalition may lose valuable Indian votes in the next general election”.

Samy was speaking at a press conference today attended by former CWC member Kumar Aamaan and former deputy youth leader V Mugilan.Samy and Kumar were sacked from the party yesterday for urging the party president to step down from his position. Mugilan was sacked on May 20 for the same reason.

Samy also plans to get the list of all Indians apppointed to GLC positions as he suspects the positions were given away to the party president's cronies.“The government has allocated a good number of positions for Indians in GLCs over the years. However, Samy Vellu has hijacked the allocations for himself and his cronies,” he alleged.“When I queried Samy Vellu about it, he said the matter was between the PM and him. When I persisted, he challenged me to get the list from the PM himself. I'm taking up the challenge,” he said.

“MIC has now become a caste and family-based party. Vell Paari, Puteri deputy chief Shaila Nair and Youth leader T Mohan are his kinsmen while Human Resource minister S Subramaniam is favoured as he belongs to the same caste as the party president,” he said.

Tamil Nesan given notice

When asked about his plans for the future, he said he will decide on it once he has discussed things with his family members and after speaking to Najib.
Samy also lashed out at a daily, Tamil Nesan, which is closely linked to the party president for accusing him of being involved in the human trafficking racquet.“I give Tamil Nesan 24 hours to prove its accusations against me,” dared Samy.Meanwhile, Kumar Aamaan also lashed out at Samy Vellu, calling him a “great actor”. “He comes in for every CWC meeting and rants about how the newspapers are against him.”
“If he was born in India, he would have surpassed all the great actors in the sub-continent,” he said.
He also dared the party president and his son Vell Paari to leave BN if they believe Umno is behind Gerakan Anti-Samy Vellu or GAS.“Since Vell Paari thinks Umno is behind all this, then I challenge him and his father to leave the ruling coalition,” he said.
