Back federal projects, Kamalanathan urges Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 — The Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government has been urged to co-operate with the federal government to implement development projects, Hulu Selangor Member of Parliament P. Kamalanathan said.
“I am sincere in helping Selangor people and hope the state government will not disturb implementation of development projects,” he said in an interview with Bernama TV on “Hello Malaysia” last night. He said co-operation and support in project implementation would make the projects a success for the satisfaction of the people.“Their (state government) co-operation will make it easier for us to bring development to Hulu Selangor,” the MIC information chief added. He reminded the people that failure to implement projects by the federal government could be due to problems raised by the state government.
Kamalanathan of Barisan Nasional (BN) won the Hulu Selangor seat, beating Datuk Zaid Ibrahim of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in the by-election on April 25 with a 1,725 majority.
