PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said he was unaware of PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim's promise to create a second deputy prime minister post for DAP if the opposition pact wins the next general election.
He said the matter, in fact, had never been discussed by the pact leaders.
"I don't know, (as) we've not discussed it. That's his (Anwar's) personal opinion," he said here today after witnessing the ground-breaking ceremony for the RM30 million PAS Complex in Paya Indah, near Dengkil, Selangor.
It was officiated by PAS spiritual leader Nik Aziz Nik Mat, who is also Kelantan menteri besar.
Abdul Hadi was earlier asked by reporters to comment on Anwar's latest promise as reported by a local Chinese newspaper on May 26.Meanwhile, PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub said on principle, any decision would be made through discussions by the Pakatan Rakyat supreme council members comprising PAS, DAP and PKR leaders.Asked whether the opposition pact would Anwar as prime minister if they win the 13th general election, Salahuddin said the matter had not been decided on and it would depend on the election result. "We have not specifically discussed it, but in our spirit of friendship and solidarity, any programme, policy or decision would be discussed first by the Pakatan Rakyat supreme council," he said.
