Mugilan appeals sacking, GAS stops criticising Samy

Former MIC Youth deputy chief V Mugilan said today that he had submitted an appeal against his sacking from the party to MIC's Central Working Committee (CWC)."If my appeal is accepted, I will do my best to serve the MIC and BN."If it is rejected, I will accept it but I won't be joining the opposition," he told a press conference in Petaling Jaya.

He was sacked from MIC last month for demanding that MIC president S Samy Vellu exit the party without delay.Following the sacking, he formed the Gerakan Anti-Samy Vellu (GAS) movement to pressure the MIC president to step down by this month but a gathering it held for the purpose in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday did not get the anticipated response .At the press conference, Mugilan also said that GAS would be organising another gathering at Dewan Hamzah, Klang on June 13, which would be led by KP Samy, a CWC member who was also sacked by the president for the same reason.

However, he said this gathering would not touch on Samy Vellu but instead talk about change in the party ala what United States president Barack Obama did when campaigning for the US presidency."He (Samy) can sleep well. Whoever thought Obama could become the US's first black president."He used the the concept of change... we too want to follow in his footsteps," he said.
