Father, son appeal for help to treat heart and kidney ailments

RAWANG: Heart patient R. Narasaya whose third son Maarimuthu is also suffering from a kidney ailment, is appealing for donations from the public to undergo treatment.Narasaya, 45, a lorry driver, lost his source of income when he was terminated by a transport company in Serendah about three months ago after suffering a heart attack. He added that his seven-year-old son was also suffering from a kidney ailment for the past two years and that he was helpless to provide treatment for him.

"I cannot bear to see my son suffering from the ailment. I want to see him play around like any other normal child, his age. I want to work but my company suddenly decided to terminate my services due to my condition and since then I am helpless," he told reporters at his house in Taman Bunga Raya in Bukit Beruntung here today.Narasaya who has four children said his son Maarimuthu needed continuous medical attention but he was not able to provide such attention because the cost of treatment and medicine was very expensive.

Meanwhile, Hulu Selangor Member of Parliament P. Kamalanathan launched a donation campaign for Narasaya called 'Tabung Narasaya' aimed at collecting RM60,000 to help him undergo a heart surgery and to assist his son's medical treatment.Kamalanathan who also made a contribution towards the 'tabung' said he would report the matter (termination of Nasaraya by the company) to the Human Resource Ministry because it was not done in a fair manner.Well wishers who wished to help Narasaya and his son can donate through CIMB account 123300-89309-529 or by addressing cheques or bank draft to 'Narasaya Ramaloo' and sending them to Pusat Khidmat Ahli Parlimen Hulu Selangor, No 29, Jalan Inai 2, Bandar Bukit Beruntung, 48300 Rawang, Selangor.
